During my time at Clearlake Studios, I invited my good friend Amanda Muse to work on her album project while the studio was available between sessions. The project featured recordings from a marching band, which made it one of the most unique mixes I’ve ever worked on. Universal Music Group was handling the mastering, so our focus was on achieving a clean, balanced mix and eliminating unwanted frequencies. We spent about six hours refining the sound — alternating between focused listening and moments of sharing stories that made the experience truly memorable. Working on a genre so different from my usual projects was incredibly enriching and helped me grow both technically and creatively.
